Summertime is meant for family, friends, and easy going parties!  One of the highlights of our summer was catching up with college friends at a silly party our friends have deemed “Hickfest!” We gather in our finest country/Americana/Duck Dynasty attire, head on over to the county fair, and then have a fun silly summer party together. All of us friends bring about snacks and drinks, and spend the day laughing with our kids and recalling tales from our college days. I brought along some Taste of Nature bars to add to the snack table.

We dressed Itty Bitty in an all camo outfit, and together as a family we posed with proper head dressings – like a mullet and straw hat! Itty Bitty looks like he is mean muggin’, but I assure you he was having fun!

Speaking of fun, what would a summer party be like without lawn games?
My friend Liz and I played some paddle board,
during which I remembered how uncoordinated I am!
Then it came time for the ultimate summertime game – DECK TENNIS!
Pretty much no one else in this entire world knows what deck tennis is, that is of course, unless one grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island. It’s a pretty epic game, but most Warwick kids believed our gym teachers made it up to keep us busy when our schools ran out of budget money…and we couldn’t afford soccer or basketballs.
None the less, deck tennis was AWESOME!
After the game, it was time for a stop at the refreshment table to have a taste test!
Itty Bitty munched away on Tall Dad’s Taste of Nature bar.

Taste of Nature bars come in six delicious flavors in the U.S.: Brazilian Nut Festival, California Almond Valley, Quebec Cranberry Carnival, Himalayan Goji Summit, Persian Pomegranate Garden, and Tall Dad’s favorite – Canadian Maple Forest.

After having a snack, it was time for Itty Bitty to play some more with friends!

I loved catching up and laughing with our old friends. It’s crazy to think that I graduated 10 years ago!  Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday.
Even though a lot of time has passed, we can all still be super silly with one another. We may be a bit older, but we are all still very young at heart!

Well we need more snacks like Taste of Nature bars – because 43 percent of Americans have treated themselves to an unhealthy snack as a reward for an accomplishment and 42 percent of snackers are most likely to have an unhealthy snack between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
I like to keep some Taste of Nature bars in my diaper bag, so I always have a healthy snack nearby when hunger strikes!
There are a variety of places to purchase them – and you can find a nearby retailer by clicking on this link.  http://www.tasteofnature.ca/where-to-buy/ You can buy it at any of the Dave’s Marketplaces here in Rhode Island, or Eastside Market on the East Side of Providence. The bars are $1.99 each.
You can find Taste of Nature on:
