All pregnant women know this, and if they don’t, well, consider yourself schooled:
One of the most important things a pregnant woman needs to do is take prenatal vitamins.
My doctor recommended that I start taking prenatal vitamins daily before I was pregnant – to make sure my body had all of the nutrients I needed. Plus, women don’t know if they have a tiny baby brewing for at least a few weeks, so it’s better to be safe and take the vitamins while one is trying to get pregnant.
Many people I know hate taking vitamins. They dislike the taste and the feeling of those big horse like sized pills. There are also a great percentage of pregnant women who deal with nausea and often can not keep their vitamins down.
I swear this isn’t a cheap plug here, but I think the Premama Prenantal Vitamin is a fantastic product. It is a powered mix that easily blends into your favorite drink of choice. No pills that taste like crap, or were meant for Mr. Ed. Just open a packet, dump it into your drink of choice and chug. Rinse, lather, repeat as necessary.
I received a box of these healthy packets and decided to give it a go. First thing that I need to check was the nutritional information.
Check out those numbers! These little packets are full of healthy vitamins that my tiny baby needs. Especially the Folic Acid.
There are thirty packets in a box, and each packet can be broken down into two smaller packets. This can be useful if you’d like to break down your vitamins into two servings throughout the day. I usually just pop two in my drink and have them both at the same time. But, if you are battling nausea, take one in the morning and another in the afternoon to help try to keep some nutrients in your system.
Pick your drink of choice. My favorite is P-O-B , pineapple orange & banana.

Next, mix in your Premama Prenatal Vitamin mix.

Now, in the words of Bob Marley, stir it up. Little darlin, stir it up.
As you can see, the mix doesn’t completely dissolve, but I wasn’t able to notice a taste or feeling in my drink at all.
I am completely pleased with Premama Prenatal Vitamin powdered supplement mix. What makes it even better is that the company is based in my home state, Rhode Island!
If you’re interested in trying out the product for yourself, you can visit their website, visit one of their retailers, or interact with Premama via their twitter or Facebook. (I first interacted with them on twitter- they are very active online!)
Have you ever had difficulty taking your vitamins?
{Disclaimer: I was given complimentary Premama vitamins to write this review. All words and opinions are mine and are true. I wouldn’t write it if I didn’t believe it.}
Hi Mary, I know this is an old post, but I'm interested in these vitamins. Did you continue using this brand?
I did and was very happy with them!
