I really like to dress up. A lot. Well, for special occasions. (Otherwise I’m a favorite t-shirt and pajama bottoms kinda girl.) But, going on vacation, gala’s, or the random date night definitely requires a nice touch.
But, here’s the issue – I’ve got kids.
So, it’s pretty much always a favorite t-shirt and pajama bottoms kind of night. Which is ok. I’ve accepted that.
No, I may not be able to dress up like I used to, but I can still have some style occasionally with makeup and small things. This in mind, I still like to experiment everyone once in a while with things while my kids nap. My latest conquest – everyone’s favorite little blue and white droid.
Tall Dad and I are HUGE sci-fi and film geeks. We used to go to midnight premieres of our favorite movies, and yes, we would usually dress up to have a little fun. I’ve done tons of different themes ranging from being one of the Nav’i, to being inspired by a patronus, or even a light bike from Tron. But the one thing I haven’t tried that little droid that stole everyone’s hearts dating all the way back to 1977.
You see – while I love makeup and dressing up, I REALLY love doing eye makeup
. The eyes are the most engaging part of someone, so why not have a little fun with it, right?
Plus, I’m definitely going to the midnight premiere of the new film (which I can not name officially, but it is about Wars in the Stars, and may or may not have something called “the force,” and have occurred a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away…) so I might as well get prepped for my awesome theme look.
You are going to need some basic Halloween makeup paint (you can easily find this at Walmart
) liquid blue eyeliner, liquid black eyeliner, false eye lashes, and Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
(to clean up mistakes or when you are ready to wash your face.
First, start out with a clean face.
Add grey face paint to your entire eyelid, as well as your eye brow. Add some white face paint to just below your eye.
Next, take your liquid blue eye liner, and color in most of your eyebrows.
I left a small line in the middle of my eyebrows, since the droid that I am basing my look on has a line in the middle of his blue top as well.
Now is when you get to let your creative juices run wild with the blue eyeliner.
Make different horizontal and vertical lines. Practice several different dots or designs. If you don’t like the way it looks, you can just use a Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes and easily start again!
Add some fake eyelashes at the end and you are good to go!
I had a blast with this look, but needed to wash it off once nap time was over
I love using the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes because they are clinically proven to remove 99.3% of your most stubborn makeup, even waterproof mascara.
They always leave my skin clean without heavy residue. They are great for people with sensitive eyes – even for contact lens wearers like myself!
I picked up all of these products for the eye makeup look at my local Walmart – and boy is that store ready for Halloween!!
Walmart has everything you need for Halloween – and Neutrogena
products to help wash it off when you’re done 😉 What are you hoping to dress up as for Halloween?
