I’ll admit it…I’m not a wiz in the kitchen. If I am cooking, I like to keep my recipes simple and fail-proof. Oftentimes, I pick up some pre-made items at the store and supplement the meal with a homemade side or dip. Since having my new tiny baby girl last month, my enthusiasm for slaving over a hot stove has decreased even more…but that doesn’t mean that I’m any less hungry than I was before!

One of my favorite pre-made meals to pick up is fried chicken!  I just love the mix of the crisp coating and juicy flavorful chicken beneath. My husband, our little lad and I all enjoy dipping our chicken in a variety of sauces. Two of my favorite dips are spicy honey mustard and buttermilk ranch.
These two fried chicken dips are PERFECT to make in the summer – especially for a 4th of July get together. They do not require anytime at the stove, and can be whipped up in less than 2 minutes. Plus, the instructions couldn’t be any easier — you just stir the ingredients together!
Spicy Honey Mustard Dip Ingredients:
4 tablespoons mayo
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon mustard
paprika to taste
Whisk mayo, honey and mustard together in a bowl.
Add paprika to taste.
Buttermilk Ranch Fried Chicken Dip Ingredients:
2 tablespoons buttermilk
4 tablespoons mayo
3 teaspoons finely chopped chives
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar, optional
Whisk all ingredients together.
Isn’t that super easy?
The thing that took the most time was cutting the chives!
I told you these dips were easy to whip up!
I picked up the pre-made fried chicken at my local Walmart Deli while running some errands with my tiny baby. They have a wide variety of types of fresh hot fried chicken, plus a ton of pre-made sides as well!
